Q: What motivates you to be active? 

A: The health benefits of fitness and the positive energy that exercise makes me feel, motivates me to be active. The active moments of my day keep me healthy and happy. Seeing and surrounding myself with people who share my passion, pushes me to continue on my fitness journey.

Q: What is your go-to workout and why do you love it? 

A: Zumba®! If you haven’t tried it yet, Zumba® gives you an instant energy rush and leaves you wanting more. It’s an adrenaline pumping, full-body work out in the form of a giant party. When I tried my first class over 6 years ago I was hooked. The music and atmosphere is second to none.

Q: What is your definition of "Be your own athlete"?

A: To me “Be your own athlete” means to set goals for yourself and to do what makes yone but yourself can judge what you’re capable of. Move at the pace that is right for you and be the athlete you want to be. “Win” for yourself. Reap the reward of knowing you have done your best.

Q: What's on your playlist right now that pumps you up and keeps you going?

A: El Teke Teke – Crazy Design ft Carlitos Way. Even when you’re tired and want to stop, this song keeps your energy going and a smile on your face. Ask my students!

Q: What is one fitness tip you would want to share with everyone?

A: The hardest part is getting started. Once you do, you will never want to stop. A group fitness class is the perfect place to begin. The people in your class become a second family and everyone supports and encourages each other.
